Recently I attended the 2012 Professional Outdoor Media Association’s Annual Conference in Tunica, Mississippi. Roughly two hundred outdoor communicators and corporate partners came together to network, attend business sessions, test out the latest hunting, shooting, fishing and outdoor gear and develop new story material for the upcoming season.

As outdoor communicators, most of us get to do some pretty fun stuff once in a while. Attending a trade conference might not be quite as much fun as a day in the field. But it’s close. By far, the best part of this industry is all of the great people. I saw a lot of familiar faces I only get to see once or twice a year and I also met a lot of new friends.

Our group is doing a great job embracing social media and the latest technology in communications. See who was talking about the great stuff that went on at the POMA conference in Tunica.
